The safe haven of secure relationship and connection offers a source of profound healing and joy. An experience of ‘togetherness’ in the midst of human pain and struggle is an important way we can move through difficult emotions, adversities and traumatic experience.
Resiliency, resource and an affinity toward health reside within all of us. Sometimes, we need another to bring these parts of ourselves to awareness, to ‘hold them’ with us, so we can come to know them.
The models of therapy I use in my work with individuals, couples and families are rooted in attachment theory and the neuroscience of human connection and mental health. I practice Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), Circle of Security Parenting (COS-P), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, commonly referred to as EMDR.
I believe that an experience of safety and connection is the foundation of profound healing, health and joy. My goal is to share this experience with clients through empathy, curiosity, acceptance and trust.
